My local paper reported yet another sighting of a Big Cat "Panther-size" this week. We have had lots of reported sightings and torn apart sheep in the area. Just wondering does your local town have a myth or legend?
I believe some non-native exotics are on the loose in the UK. Many of them were kept as fashion accesories in the 60's and early 70's until the dangerous animals act was introduced which meant that a license had to be used for many animals....so they were abandoned.

no but really, in Okanagan (spell) Lake, there is a myth and small random facts that there is a sea monster, sperpant like, called Ogopogo.

Myth in my area, scallies/chaves are intelligent, well mannered members of society.

I live in Florida, so we always hear the Swamp Ape stalking around at night. He's like a southern bigfoot, I suppose ;)
