Not sure if this is the right section to post this in, but I am thinking of ordering a pair of 1200s online from 1200s.com.
Living in Australia, I am not too sure on 1200s.com reputation..
Can anyone tell me if they have any experince buying big things like decks from 1200s.com?
Thanks.. :toothless |

Why not buy them from somewhere in Aus?
Like VW, storedj, or any equipment shop in Melbourne?
Save yourself a crapload in shipping and taxes (large import taxes on anything valued over $1000) |

they are pretty pricey down here..
1200s.com has 2 for 840 US which is about 1100 AU + shipping.. |

If a shop sells turntables, usually the first one they put in their inventory are 1200/1210's. And they have a perfect good reason for that.
Anyway, you are probly better off with a site wich has low shipping cost, a good rep, and cheap prices. OR mayb drive 3hours ( if that is what it takes ) to a store in Australia ( in this case, i hope you dont live in the middle part, happy driving :) ). Sydney probly has lots of stores wich sells dj stuff. |

It's not worth the trouble, man. Just buy them from somewhere in Australia.
You can get them for AU$850 each from online sites such as:
www.dmcdj.com
www.vinylwarning.com.au
That's the cheapest you will find them.....
Or you could buy them second hand. Good places to look are:
3DWorld / other free street press
Trading Post
Buying & Selling Forum at www.inthemix.com.au/forum
I bought mine second hand off a guy on inthemix for $1150 total, and they were in perfect condition! |

or you could just scan second hand stores until you get lucky.
I got two 1200mk2's + 1 flight case for Aus$550 from cash converters.
I have seen stores selling them new fopr $750, but that would be the best you could hope for, and you'll probably have to wait for those prices to come around again.
$1100 plus shipping, add some import duty, shipping won't be cheap cos these things aren't light, and no warranty if anything goes wrong. |

| i think they must have screwed up on the price, cos the same person also sold them a djm500 with two cdj500's, and they're selling that in a flight case for $2200. I wasn't even thinking about new turntables at the time, but figured I could just on-sell them in the worst case. |
