What to look out for / recommended Mini Disc (Want to buy one)

it would be really helpfull if someone can share some advice/experience for me.
^ has caught my eye at the moment
what i want to have one for.
*recording mp3 from pc sets/singles
*have it last all day in college
*to record digweed every friday ;p

If you are able to find thia fine piece of machinery you should buy it. Its both a permanent and a portable MD-player in one. From SOny and called MZ-R5ST.

| sir, that thing is OLD, doesn't have mdlp, expensive, and if you want to record, you have to bring the whole thing.-i think. :D |

I know its old, hence "If you are able to find...". If mdlp means "long play", it sure as hell got it and nope you can record without the whole unit whit you. The only not so good thing about it is that you have to buy a separate bat. charger for the portable unit (cause it loads automaticly when its docked to the unit) unless you want to use the attachable battery clip. |

| how does it have longplay if the first portable mdlp came out last year(mzr900) and now i see that you can record without the base. And can you explain to me what the base part does, i dont' get it. :) |

| I dont know how it can have longplay. I dont know if its the same lp we mean. On mine you can double the record time thru recording in mono, I dont know if that is changed know so U can record lp in stereo. The base is always connected to the rest of the hi-fi system so for example you come home from school you can dock the portable into the base and get your MD-music out to your "real" speakers. |

| def get one with MDLP...its worth it...i got the mzr900 ...but there are so many out there now with mdlp on them...so..go choose...i like the new victor ones.. |

o thats not the same long play ur talking about. the one i'm talking about can lower the quality but lengthen the time. like with 128kbs(same as mp3) but you'll have 160 min on an 80 min disc.
and i have to find the link to the girl i'll post it later. |
