Don't people tend to know when they have STDs? You guys make it sound like just because she's cultured to not use condoms, she's just some whore who's been sleeping around with every guy she meets on the street. It may or not be true, but there's too many assumptions here. I guess with these sorts of things, it's healthy to assume the worst since you're skating the line of pregnancy/STD, but just because she doesn't use condoms doesn't mean she doesn't check herself for... "irregularities" :nervous:
Then again, if she's dumb enough to think that she'll be totally immune to sperm 5 nights each month, she's probably not too cognitive of her body anyways... lol - there's too many possibilites here!
Tell your friend to use a condom while she has her diaphragm in. Also get her on the pill, the patch, and might as well have her take the 'morning after' as well....
and nothing but oral...

| Depending on her ovulation cycle, A WOMAN CAN BECOME PREGNANT, EVEN DURING HER PERIOD. Just because she is shedding uteral lining and ovual material does not mean that there is not an egg ready to be feritlized. This extends to 5 days before, and 5 days after. This also include 28 days before and after her period; in other words a woman has a chance of becoming pregnant anytime a man ejaculates in, on, or near her vagina. All questions of sexually transmitted diseases aside (and this is very hard to push aside), your friend is running an insane and ridiculous risk of an unwanted pregnancy, unless he is able to support a child. Too many unwanted children are born in this world because their parents don't know about the reproductive process. Very sad for any kids invloved, but even worse for your friend and his partner for thinking that they are even remotely mature enough sexually to be having sex. |

Well said on that last post. Even with birth control, there is a less than 1 percent chance of getting pregnant...don't forget that!
About infections. My gf's sister and her bf have been going out for about 2 years now but she always complains that after having sex without condom it itches for her down there for a few days like crazy. She's on the pill, it's not a matter of getting pregnant or not. They usually do it with a condom, but when not she gets these itches. She was saying saturday that it's probably not her, it's him cuz she has been to a doctor about 3 times, she gets a cream then it goes away. I was telling her to tell her bf to better check out a doctor cuz it's him but he says that's embarrasing...
A problem... |

LMAO he agreed on wearing a condom.. a few slaps in the face were good enough.. I said how much money do you have? he said couple of thousand.. I'm like.. think of this.. once you get a baby that money is going to go out in a week lol.. You should have seen his face he was just scared LOL. Then he said what about like the feeling and all that.. I said you last long with a condom then without one and woman like it longer so if she doesn't accept you wearing a condom then forget it..
Then I said unless you want to get married first lol so you don't have to worry about support just rely on the wife more *wink wink ahahaha...

I dont understand why his g/f wont get on the pill. If she did than no worries.
If she didnt get on the pill than he should wear a condom until she does. |

Sure, culture is to blame.
Makes sense. I live in a Catholic country, and the pope tells us not to use condoms nor use other contraceptive methods, so I must respect this decision, despite of what the sexual education classes, books and even the telly say, as I don't have the intellectual capacity of choosing what's right and wrong, having all my decisions based on what others say. It's the culture I live in, I'm bound to do this sort of stuff. The culture I live in also tells me that I should have as many girls as possible, so I might bang anything with XX cromossomes so I can show others how much of a macho I am - if they get pregnant, I must marry them too, although I'm still calculating how I'll manage to marry them all. hmm....
By the way, what would a pure Japanese be? Someone who's never left Japan, someone who's been born in Japan or someone who's ethnic Japanese? And your friend, can he be stereotyped as well so we can blame his foolness on his origins/lifestyle? |

| At the times around her period is is less likely that she is ovulating which means a smaller chance of getting pregnant but there is always still a chance. There are other things that can be used. If they arent worried about STD's she can get some spermicide, a diaphram, the pill etc. There are many other options that just condoms. |

Alright I'm telling my friend to wear a condom during sex to be on the safe side. He's 23 years old and dates a 27 year old woman. He said that his girlfriend never had a condom in her life nor taken birth control pills. She said that "as long as you can do it 5 days before and after her period its fine", and if he doesn't want to ejaculate inside he just withdraws. It's like an older woman more experienced telling him that she knows what she's doing, but I'm not sure about that.
I'm not sure what to tell him..
What are your inputs?
Oh ya the weird thing about her saying that is that she's native japanese so I dunno if that has to do with anything lol.. but I still say just wear it. |
It's amazing that people can be so naive... has your friend ever heard of STDs, pre-ejaculation, etc? Even if he's "lucky enough" to not get her pregnant, he can catch some nasty diseaeses... And he does still run the risk of getting her pregnant.
Does he know she 100% "safe" as far as diseases go? And is your friend 100% safe?
Just put a ing condom on!!!!

that sounds like a yeast infection more than anything else, which isnt anymore his fault than hers.

not necessarily. some of the most common stds (i.e. hpv) can lie dormant for years without showing signs. and aside from the nasty warts they have the possibility of producing, it can also lead to cancer. additionally, apparently you cant easily test for a lot of stds on men. so the bottom line is, you have to wear protection cause there is no way to really know if someone is clean.
also, as for pregnacy, someone published a study last year that showed women can ovulate more than once in a cycle. |
