Yes, the state of radio is just plain PATHETIC. Honestly I haven't listened to radio on a regular basis in years (come to think of it... it probably coincided when CrapChannel was eating up every radio station in sight. Coincidence? I think not!)

Anyway... KCRW sometimes has good stuff (Jason Bentley, etc). And strangely enough Thump Radio has been playing on K-BIG 104.3 weeknights 11pm-2am. It ain't trance, but not entirely bad stuff there. I was surprised given K-BIG's usual playlist...

Thump Radio had one of the best floats IMO at Love Parade. And the countless topless woman on that float was Amazing!!!!! The music being played was nothing compared to their show. It was really really good!!!! I like Thump Radio. BTW, KIIS FM has Musica De Madrugada on Friday nights afterhoursm and Powertools is still around too!

After the change over they have less listeners!!! Dance was beating Indie. What freaking morons clear channel is. Man I hate that company. At Least San Fransisco got there dance channel back.

KISS shut down 103.1 because they (KISS FM) were loosing listeners. Its pretty well documented in radio circles. CC doesn't know how to deal with dance music so they just buy them and shut them down. Its not the first time its happened. Same thing happened to Mars. CC needs to be shut down. FM radio is such a scummy business, its really no suprise.

BTW, I had XM for a year and I thought the dance channels sucked big time. I cancelled several months ago. I don't know if its been improved but I doubt it. With every lineup change, XM is going more and more mainstream (read CC).
