7506s are fantastic headphones, i think that alot of people over look them because they arent really flashy, i.e. silver or shiny, and they arent marketed by sony as being "dj" headpones. they are high quality and really get the job done nicely. they are one of the best purchases that i've made. i would tell anybody that was thinking of getting them, just do it. you wont regret it.

i love my 7506s, the day I got em I replaced the earpads with ones from Beyer DT-250 headphone replacement verlour earpads and they feel sooooooooooooo nice, it's like nice soft velvet and is soooooo comfortable, i recommend it to all u who have 7506s cuz the plasticy earpads that they come with are crap compared to these

Here's a link on using the Beyer pads on the 7506s

aha
My thread bumped again

From reading that, someone mentioned that the beyer pads come in velour or 'pleather'?
Is this the fake leather type material like you get on the sony 700s/hdj 1000s?.... just what i am after as i HATE velour with a passion and the original pads i cant see lasting many months..
Freak
s'ok
just found on beyers site what i need... woohoo

Are these still sold commonly, or do you have to hunt one down at some shady shop? Looks interesting. Still have my HDJ-1000 and look mint after almost a years use, but a spare headphone is always nice to have.
Any online shops in Europe perhaps? What's the price on them?

Freak, could you post the link for those pads?
Geoff
is pleather the stuff that comes stock with the headphones? if it is I hate those

i think velour is awesome, it's so amazingly soft and comfy, Freak, why don't u like it exactly? just wondering

to each his own
Freak
Velour is what you get on car seats if you dont pay for the leather..
Its horrid them- let alone next to your ears. Looks cheap too

max- go to beyerdynamic.com, and they are listed next to the veolur pads. No pics as yet- ill post some when ive ordered them

Has anyone else used the mdrv900s? I've had these for about 4 years and they still stound great and aren't falling apart at all (had some problems with the original jack but once replaced all is good). My brother has a pair of 7506s that are a couple years old that've held up well but the 900s sound better and I feel work better for djing.
