I got it from De Grote Eén (translated in English 'the big one :D)
It was a chain of stores located in the eastern part of Holland.
BUT, bad news: they went bankrupt last year...
(I can imagine that it was because of all the special offers they had!)

well of course its very inconvenient if you put it that way, but most of the times that i record, its only one or two songs at a time or i open winamp, make a playlist, record and leave and this is on my dads computer so i can still use mine and his comp has a digital out.

mini-disks are no good in my opinion. too small, and they are
not going to be around forever. better off getting an mp3/cd player.
i doubt mp3's are going to die anytime soon. i have a sony mp3 player,
and its nice. 128k isnt bad d00d, sounds like a cd. and 900 megs?
come on, thats awsome! thats like 11 full trance raves! mini-disc's
suck... anything mp3 related, is the way to go if you ask me. check
out http://www.crutchfeld.com ..like i was saying,
they have some sweet mp3/cd , real cheep! hope i was of some help.

Too small??? Thats a good thing, they are sturdy, small and now can hold upto 4 CD's worth of music. 192k is more like CD, 128 is pretty awful quality man, seriously :)

Listen we've always considered the Japanese and most of Asia as our guide to whats going to be big, and they have made mini disc bigger than portable CD ever was. Its in no danger of dissapearing, the Asian market has chosen mini disc over mp3 players.

minidisc has so many advantages over mp3 players, the only drawback that I can say is that it records over real time. So basicly I set up my winamp playlist, arrange tracks, then record onto my minidisc while im doing homework, sleeping, or just not using the computer.

i think i posted something like this in a similar thread

i work with minidiscs every day here at the radio station, and in fact pretty much everything we do is on MD, so i consider myself to be quite knowledgable on the subject
i love it, and am planning on getting one soon, as i already have an mp3 player
the minidiscs are great for sound quality, they can be recorded an infinite number of times without any loss in sound quality
in fact i have a stack of discs here that i've used quite a lot in the past year and they still sound great
our production tape, that's our tape here at the station, i believe is only seven generations (records) before it's pretty much useless... the commercial quality tape sold in stores is made to last a bit longer
but i do most of my stuff on MD as it's cheaper and sounds great
dvd
i used to own a md player.. mzr70 some crap like that... but i want the Freecom Beatman Mp3 Player or just interested, do u know any online shops that sells it to america or has prices in USD? also you can check out www.dcs.com.hk i saw a old friend and he got a mzr900 for like well its 245 or something, i dont know problay cheaper than minidisco.com but then again the shipping, whihc problay shouldnt cost a lot.

check www.electronicsemall.com very cheap stuff. SHipping is also good.

If you are that bothered about realtime recording then you can get a minidisc drive for your PC and basically I think you can record a lot faster instead of real time, I'm considering getting one for my PC as you can also title the discs a lot easier.... hmmmm I feel that my credit card is going to get a hammering :stongue:

This one is only 109$ (US) and it's both recorder/player
