There was a great barman, who took care of my camera bag.

I never had any troubles with barmen and barmaids, they're generally very cool.

They were col but boy were the drinks weak!

I got a 9 dollar vodka redbull.... the amount of vodka was so small it seriously looked like it was a bit of ice water! :stongue:

call it a redbull on the rocks with a splash of vodka :stongue:

If I knew it would be 5$ (even 10$), I would come back at 1am if not after.

So my real complaint is that no one really knew the price at the door. I was told I would pay 30$ with the "guest list" instead of 50$++, I don't think its normal for a club the size of the Guvernement.

and I won't say anything about not having a media access thing, bringing in a huge ass camera and be told not get on stage, wtf you think i brought this camera for?

next time you visit guv, contact me before you come down here. lol. :haha:

Cover for the night was $40.00 @ the Door, the reduced cover is $30.00.

I've already posted the reduced on the event thread were the reduced was gonna be $30.00 - 35.00. I had a stronge feeling it was gonna be $30.00, but didn't want to be wrong about it.

Margs, they weren't suppose to be souvenirs at all. I didn't say that either. Those were invites / vip passes to help you get in and taken away once your entered.

If you really want them as souvenirs, I have some left over and I'll give you some for the next time I see you. (Just like Emery and Beh)

There was some confusion about the entrance for these passes. Many of my friends got warned about their shoes and what they are wearing. One of my friend got completely rejected and I got him in. Deluxe Lounge has such a strict dress code, so the head secuity allowed the ppl with the passes to cut infront of the line and enter through the Guv.

If there's any problems you occur, just ask the secuirty guys in the front, they will always help you out and provide you with the full info.

Secuirty at the GUV has changed a lot. They are a lot nicer then before. My other co worker and myself used to get hassled and also have to explain our position at the Club numerous times. Still they don't know me (since there's so many of them) now when they ask me ... they are really nice and polite, instead of being rude and etc. 99% of them don't realize I work there and even still have to repeat myself to them over and over again, even if I met them the week before. Trust me on this, they are a lot nicer to ppl.

Well the whole Guv thing gets me really annoyed, I try to minimize my visits to that place. Bouncers are just too much to handle for me.

John, it says More at the door, not 40$.
Ortemy
Btw with all the ticketmaster charges i payed more than 40$. Could have payed at the door.

I've never had a problem with any of the bouncers, or security there for any of the events I've been to. My only issue with Guvernment is, well more of an annoyance than anything. How come we can't keep our ticket stubs if they are going to scan them? We wanted to keep our stubs from events we attended, and the dude wouldn't let us. What's the deal with that!!?? I've never heard of that in my life..:conf:

Emery and I have already told you about this ... you can't expect to get a media pass on such short noticed. Kaveh asked me weeks ago and after clearing it up with my managers it was cool and him and his friend was taken care of at the door.

It's insanely hard for me to get those media pass. Since the GUV 8yr was fri, sat & sun this year ... by the time we tried to get you a media pass at the club, we ran out.

The format they constructed for the stage for SAT & SUN, you really didn't need a media pass at all. Kaveh only took 3 pics of stage when IM was on (when it was restricted) and the rest of the time it was opened to the public and didn't need the pass for crowd shots.

There were so many ppl with pro cams and they didn't have media passes, b/c we ran out.

John, the stage was closed when IM and most of Max Graham set.

When they opened it, there was at least three layers of people behind the booth.

I am not bitching at you, I know you do more than what you're supposed to please your hosts.

But how long am I supposed to tell in advance, a month? Its ridiculous, its a club, not a press conference. I drove over 500 Kms, brought in 3000$+ worth of equipment just to be told to off by a bouncer near the stage.

There's something called common sense that seems to be lacking at this club.
