I really hope that what happened to pop music doesnt happen to djs although i fear it has already started.
That is that they have to have an image which is as important or MORE important than the music. As a result we will have a bunch of good looking DJs with no talent getting all the bookings. If you want to see some girl topless go to a ripper joint. Leave the DJing to the professionals. Girls like Portia Surreal deal a blow to the serious female Djs out there like Dayhota and Magda for example.
Im all for hot women but leave the image fanatacism etc out of the DJing and stop the pop culture McMusic syndrome from invading the DJ world more so than it already has. |

Personally, she's my least favourite of most of the mentioned ones ... those gigantic cups probably took a big sip out of her DJ talent already ... My experience tells me that ladies with bigger breasts have an even bigger ego going along with them. |

| Maybe the reason there aren't that many female DJs is because I noticed there are way more guys who listen to electronica that girls. I'd say, the ratio of guys to girl EDM fans would probable be 3:2, if not 2:1. Thats the most unfortunate thing. Its hard to find a woman who like dance music. Most of people I know who listen to EDM are guys. I'd say, in about 80 people I've met who like this music, only 15-20 were ladies. |
