so last friday i saw sasha live for the first time and i really dug his style. now i know its not your run of the mill trance, but could any one recomend any songs or artist to check out. Im rather a noob to the whole prog trance/house scene, and ive had my fill of uplifiting trance. also while were at it, maybe some songs that sound like intruder or mc fabio-priority.
any help would be appreciated.

Go out and do yourself a MAJOR favor and buy these albums:
Sasha - Airdrawndagger
This is Sasha's work of art. He spent many years working on this album. A lot of hard work went into this and he got some help from some great producers such as Junkie XL & Spooky. Anyway...this is one of the most essential and classic progressive artist albums of all time. For some the magnificence hits them immeadiately, and for others it has to grow on you. One thing is for sure, I have not heard one person say that this album isn't anything but good.
Sasha - Global Underground 013: Ibiza
If your looking for one of the best melodic progressive mix comps ever then look no further than this edition of the GU series. With this mix Sasha proved to the world once and for all that he's got magic DJing skills. It's a blissful 2 CD's worth of aural pleasure with soothing trancey soundscapes woven around progressive beats.

Check out GU:24 Nick Warren / Reykjavik
Cd1 ranges from ambient right through to full on breaks.
Cd2 is progressive house and there are some classic tracks on that, most notably Starkid - "Crayons" + Subsky - "Strawberry Fields". If you are looking to broaden your horizons this is a great start. |
