Whats a decent and not too terribly expensive sound card would you guys recommend for me to use with Ableton Live 4.0? I've been looking at the soundblaster audigy's mainly because I trust the soundblaster name. Any thoughts? Generally, I just need something with ASIO drivers so I can assign the outputs like I need to for headphones/main out.

from my personal experience, sound blasters do suck for any type of pro audio use. You might wanna look into something like a m-audio audiophile, or if you want a midi controller as well, then check out the Ozone.

check out the MOTU 828MK2 . many inputs and outputs, which can be all controlled thru a GUI or without a computer. Very good A/D convertor.

There's also the GigaPort AG... 8 channels + ASIO drivers. Haven't used it myself so I can't vouch if it's good or not.
