google desktop search

This just came out today and i have to say it's pretty cool. It intergrates with google so that it looks like a regular google search page. Results are instant vs searching your computer through windows search. Also privacy policy looks good as well. worth a try!

let me check on my computer when i get home. it should finish indexing by the time i get home from school.

i'm running firefox with built in pop up blockers. there are no ads or pop ups.

ugh huh. so you mean that they are going to lie on their privacy statement? You guys don't want to use it that's fine. the only thing i am saying that it finds what i need on my computer in a split second vs having to wait 2-3 minutes searching over 200GB.

Nope, doesn't log/index Trillian logs unfortunately. Just AIM so far. And it doesn't log/index Mozilla, Firebird or any other alternate web browser. Just IE's cache is indexed.

However having it index your Outlook emails is pretty cool, since Outlook's search feature a) sucks, and b) is horridly slow
