Not sure whats going on with it, but it looks to be inoperational / disabled.

This is an important feature which I beleive needs to be fixed / reactivated as it does help the noobs like me that use it :D

here's a suggestion...stop friggen with the "search" function...it was fine for 3 years...now it's all messed up....not sure why Swamper even messed with it.

Uhh... because multiple simultaneous searches done in succession cause bottlenecks forum wide resulting in you waiting forever for a thread to show up or for your reply to get posted. There is heavy duty disk I/O going on when you have 3+ million posts - even with indicies.

Thus, searches are done on a copy of the database (done at 5AM EST) so that bottlenecking does not occur and everyone is happy. It is not 'messed up'.
