Hey guys,

You're totally right Simcut, he deserves way more credit than he gets now. In my opinion, all his recent productions have pissed over everything else, but not many people seem to notice it.
Take BACED! vs. Ace's Delight - Witness for instance. This must be one of the most banging hardtrancers ever, with an ingenious structure, a SUPERB break, and a killer melody. Perhaps people aren't able to adjust to a not-so-standard tune?
Mental Theme, on the other hand, did get enough credit, it even got to #18 in the ASOT 2003 Top 20. I hope people will look a bit closer at Ace's next productions, because he deserves it more than anyone else imo! :) |

Couldn't agree more. All his production are of the highest quality, pisses over Tiesto and PVD's latest stuff but thats just my personal view. Maybe if he was a DJ he would get more recognition anyways as long as he keeps producing these tunes i will keep buying the vinyls.

of course he is, he's not like most trance producers nowadays that think up one melody and that's their song. his tracks are almost a full blown classical song.

I agree with Ste, but I can be arsed to elaborate :p The reason is that he got lots of recognition back in the 90s, when he was still producing with Marc La Cruz. His recent material have been recycling the Mental Theme-formula way too much for him to ever get back to that level again.

so you think Mental Theme is ordinary? right ok...
