keep an eye out for michel de hey too, he is also wicked with the techno. |
If you want your techno to be bland and predictable, then yes. If you want innovation, then I tend to disagree.
That being said, I just ordered Hey003, Less = more is definitely a usable tool for me. |

Mauro is a great entertainer and I have been follwing him religiously for a few years now. I think however he peaked in 2002 for me. Some of his live sets and some of the times i've seen him he has been well below par.
Last time i seen him at the arches tho he was right back on form, absolutely pounding it out.
If you like mauro then you'd probablly love gabry fasano - He is like mauro but the build ups are bigger and the tunes are harder.
Have a listen to his new meganite ep - you'd like that no doubt |

i was talking more about his sets. i have seen him play a couple of times and his sets have definitely stood out above the likes of beyer, kanzyani etc..
as far as his productions go, i have no complaints whatsoever. granted a lot of his stuff is not made for toying with, and should probably be played on its own most of the time, but i have found each record of his i have bought has had its time and place :)
did you like the b-side to 'i hate trends'? can't remember the name of it but its great breaky techy coolness. i love it!

Yeah I saw picotto in New Orleans...in blew the roof off of that place...then Ferry came on, and blew the roof off, but I still think Picotto's set was better, it got everyone pumped up. And Mauro feeds back to the crowd, something that alot of DJs don't do these days.
He's in wicked :D :toothless |

2 roofs? bloody hell... :p
regarding picotto feeding back to the crowd, yeah he really gets everyone going something proper! its funny how it seems that he is the one that is having the most fun in the entire event when he plays! |

| Ya you really gotta Check out the Magnite CD with Riccardo Ferri. awsome CD. been adoring everything Mauro does for the passed 2-3 years at least. One of the most original DJs out there. His set can be all over the place and at the same time just massive at times. always a blast. |

Yeah I know, he looked like he was having a good time. Ferry did too.
I like it when the DJ actually looks back at the crowd. |

very welcome!! tell me about it...i just saw him live agian 3 saturdays ago.....and holy shiit....i just hope he doesnt retire soon, cuz thats what im hearing, that he's not touring as much as he used to blah blah and that he will soon throw in the towel!! Much respect for Mauro.....after all if it wasnt for this man i would have never been on this website and i would have never left hip-hop!! |
WEll Oakenfold is responsible for my love affair but Picotto has jumped to number one. I think more people don't love it because you kind of have to ease your way into what Picotto plays. Its like a natural progression from trance into techno. It is real hard and at first might be too much for the untrained ear. I too was a former hip hoper, non stoper and at times still enjoy a little |
