You wonder why there is so much litter on the streets of toronto, but this could be becasue there isn't enough garbage cans.

I walked from Avenue and Bloor to Davenport and there isn't ONe single garbage can!

sometimeI have noticed this too in other parts of Toronto, it's kinda rediculous.

Since living with Tatgirl she has taught me not to litter, and i am trying hard, and sometimes ifIhave a little peice of paper I will put it in my bag (if I have one) in stead of littering.

Now that we have the green boxes , that should be helpful too to Torontos amounts of Garbage, but please try to do whatever you can to help this polluted city.
Heaven forbid that it will look liek the streets of New York, days , months, or years to come!

Too many people that think it's ok to throw their out wherever, or out the window when they're driving (I can't stand that one)

Although the driving thing I've noticed to be more a habit of those that don't live in the 416 confines - the "it's not my city, i don't care" attitude

yes, i agree. littering is one of my many pet peeves.

they always talk about these issue on CityTV.

last i heard that they were going to change all the garbage cans around the city to some fancy recepticles, but i was thinking all along, instead of changing all of them why not double the amount we have already. not like the ones we have are useless and need to be replaced.

Really? That's strange...I usually never really have a problem finding garbage cans in TO, especially downtown... :(

Although I haven't been actually walking in that area for a while - perhaps I should check it out :)
