acceptable mp3 bitrate for live perfromance

| Hi TAs. I recently bought Final Scratch and will be using it for the first time at a live performance. I was wondering what is an acceptable bitrate to replay my mp3s at through FS. I encoded my vinyl collection at 320 kbps, but I also have other mp3s that I downloaded that are only 192kbps and a few at 128kbps. the club im playing at is a 2000 capacity but has one of the world's best soundsystems so im thinking even 128 kbps should be alright??? |

| I wouldnt play the 128kbps .. for a club with a decent sound system id say minimum of 192 .. better if it was 256/320 or vbr if in mp3 format though .. |

why dont u try playing wav files
if ur playing mp3 its gonna have to be better than 128kbps |

| I'd rip vinyl to wav personally. Remember, the better the sound system, the worse your mp3 will sound... |

| what about for downloaded mp3s...do u think 192 is acceptable then? i will probably end up using the actual vynils and maybe use the club's CDJ/or my FS to play my mp3s, but will ur avergae clubber be able to hear the difference? |

| yes i think u can hear the difference in quality in paticular as already said on a large system the difference would be more obvious |

I'M suprise he didn't get flame for that lol
192 minimum, cause I can esally hear the difference in my car sound systeme that as normal speaker and a sub woofer.
The bass is so much more clean !! |

always if at all possible use wav's or aiff's as they are uncompressed formats, and no matter how well you encode them they will always sound sub-par on large systems.
and i hope you've bought the mp3's :p |

| Will FS accept the FLAC format ? I doubt it, but that would be a good choice. |

downloaded? as in paid for downloaded? they should be ok quality. If you are stealing the music , prepare for the worst.
