Yet also acording to him...cheese=good. So all music is good. Hooray :wtf:

This is my defintiion of cheese. Or a forumalic way of producing any music.

I agree that 3/4ths of all anjuna releases follow a very standard trance structure. In addition to the struction, I find that some anjuna releases seem to have a standard synth sounds ( not the melody but the actual sound) and basslines. Thus I will agree with you that this is cheesy.

I think dance music can be fun and interesting yet not be cheesy. But the central point I make in my determination of cheese is the structure, sounds , vocal element ( if apart of the song) , and bassline.

Cheese ,in my understanding, is music that lacks the orginality and inspiration music should have. Music should push boundaries and standards yet do them in a musical way. Just as there are many 'cheesey' artists which do not contribute to musical content there is an equal number of 'non- cheesy ' artists who push boundaries yet do not do so in a musical way and as a result do not contribute to the musical landscape.

In Alt 4 - Alt 4 i can see the agruement for the'cheeiness'in the structure of the song ( i.e the builds ). However, I think this is counter balanced with a orgainal and srtist quality heard in the me4lody and progression of the melody. Also, the synth that form the melody do not have that 'typicl' anjuna sound. At times the song touches the edges of cheessiness via structure yet I beleive it it able to differiate itself from the herd via the melody and progession.

once you understand the music you are able to differiate the artists from the rest.

As for the topic of this thread though, seriously alt-f4 is now gonna be on that dj mag cd, do you have any idea when it will be released on anjunadigital? There can't be a reasonable excuse to delay it any furthur now?
