agree with timewarp, everybody has their own tastes...sum ppl. mite indeed say that they like it only because its by tiesto, but im sure there are others who genuinely like it as well as has already been stated b4 in this thread
i for one didn't like it at all, i deleted after hearing it the first time...maybe if pvd came up with a remix or sumthing i mite d/l it again...

If a packet of crisps has the name of a kiddie cartoon all the kids who like it will go out and buy it. That's just what you're being like over this. Grow up and recognise good music. Don't come up with any bull that it sounds great in a club because quite simply it doesn't sound any different if you're playing it at the top of a hill.

| I think Flight 643 is a cracking tune.It mighten be everyones cup of tea but I know what I like and I think its a winner but its one of those tunes that when played over and over again it begins to loose its appeal.I reckon its still a winner!!!:cool: :cool: :cool: |

*ahem* may i point out that the hardcore clubbers on this forum (which i think there are quite a few of.. including myself) heard this MONTHS before its release... and i for one fell in love with the tune MONTHS before i knew it was called flight 643 or that it was by Tiesto.
If u had actually read the threads to do with this tune, u will have seen that there actually was a good split between ppl who liked it and ppl who disliked it. we dont all love it... that goes with pretty much every tune we mention on here (except a few).. so its not a question of being like sheep and liking it because its tiesto... its a matter of some of us liking it because its a good tune :)
a lot of ppl dislike this tune cuz they saw the name DJ Tiesto on the tune and expected uplifting tiesto trance.... instead they got a smack in the face with some pounding tech/prog trance.
Just the way i like it :D:D |

This track is to be heard in a loud system like many progressive tracks. When it first came out I did not like it. However, it did grow on me like many progressive trance tunes. And personally, I did not like it because it was produced by Tiesto. I personally thought Tiesto was a little over-hyped when it came down to producing. Obviously you cannot chose tunes just by the producer's name... They are usually not that consistent at producing great tracks.
I have noticed that most people that have had negative comments about Flight 643 are those same people who have said that progressive sucks or is boring. This track is far from boring... Try driving a fast car that has a phat system and palying Flight 643 at full blast. |

| I used to only like the Orkidea mix of Flight 643. I didnt like the others too much at all. That is until I heard them being mixed and played live at a party! It makes all the difference in the world |

I'm glad to see this tune has got so much support after this "FLIGHT 643 IS GARBAGE" thread started.
I think it's a good tune. Not us good as Urban Train, but this is much better than many songs out there right now. |

About everyone else's respones. Yes I have heard it in a club and it makes no difference where you play it. It still sucks. There's no way it's progressive trance and DJ Tiesto trying to do progressive is a ing disgrace. It's so sad he's bringing out garbage like this nowadays because Solange - Messages (DJ Tiesto & Ferry Corsten Mix) is one of my all time favorites and I adore Goldenscan - Sunrise (DJ Tiesto Mix). He can't do progressive and if he keeps churning out garbage like this his credibility will go right down. |

first of all, you should never get into dj'ing or music cuz you got deaf, ignorant ears. You don't know jack about trance music. One of the most important skills a dj should have is to destinguish unique, fresh tunes that shape the world of trance. Flight 643 is one of them and yet, you don't realize it.
One of the most original, unique trance tunes of all time hits you in the face and you don't see it.
and what do u mean it doesn't go anywhere? it goes to more places than most progressive styled tunes out there.
Right after the breakdown, that's where the I's get dotted and the T's get crossed. That's where you feel a sense of statisfaction. And once you feel a sense of satisfaction, it has taken you where it suppose to take you.
It may not appeal to some people, but you should at least realize the importance of this tune. One key ingredient to an effective progressive styled tune is "un-anticipated satisfaction" and this "flight 643" is just that.
