| Isn't it cute. Although I'd like to know which games it's supposed to be incompatible with, aside from those that require HDD support. If my first-generation PS2 had gone to disc read error heaven now instead of this time last year, I could have got one. But that said, I'm very much content with my silver brick. |

| I don't understand why they would not include hard drive compatability? What about all those FFXI players? |

yeah its pretty damn stupid
and i bet a whole lot of people will buy it not knowing that the hardd drive doesnt even work with it.
maybe FFXI wasnt that big of hit? |

Exactly, FFXI and the HDD as a whole were a floop throughout the work excpet for Japan. The main reason for the design is that the PS3 comes out 2006 and this is to bide some time this holiday season until it's release.
The HDD just did make enough revenue to make a profitable addition.
A HDd will be built to the PS3, but that's just rumors. |

| The HD and FFXI were hits in Japan, and, for about 2 months back in Spring 2004, were hits here in the US too. Then sales began to drop to the point that Sony was able to realize that people werent really interested in a HD. |

The reason why its not hdd compatible is because the new PStwo is suppose to be small.. not big and bulky with that hdd add on. The HDD would be considered for the hardcore gamers though.
I bought the PStwo myself. SO freaky small. |
