Apparently if the world was totally bombarded with nuclear bombs roaches would be one of the only things left alive. They are very resilient towards radiation.

Next time you quote a source you might want to read it first. This document does not say that a roach will survive a nuclear bomb. In fact it states that the roach immunity is higher than a humans but nowhere near most other insects. :nervous:
2nd point microwaves are not particle radiation. Particle radiation is what can kill you. High frequency radiation above the hard UV limit is where radiation becomes a problem.
Most consumer Microwaves operate at 2.8Ghz. This frequency is also used for your cordless phone. The difference is the power output. The microwaves in your microwave oven repulse charged particles. There are two kinds of charged particles in food water and fat.
I’m not sure on the water content of a roach but that is probably why the bug lived through the microwave. :thepirate |

Actually only the first line was a comment directed at you. The rest was a different explanation of microwave theory. The article actually states that with current nuclear weapon technology a roach WOULD NOT SURVIVE.
"therefore, even if a cockroach could
have survived Hiroshima’s bombing, it
wouldn’t have had much hope today of surviving
even a nuclear skirmish between rogue
states, much less a battle between nuclear
superpowers." - busswords.pdf |

You ing bastard. Why did you kill it? Burn in hell.
Have some respect for insects which are clearly superior to you. I bet you couldnt survive that much radiation if you were that small. |

| Dood I can't believe you crushed it. You should have set the timer on 10 minutes at high power and seen what it can take. |

| def should've eaten it.. |

| Jiffy |
Get some Raid or other roach killer.
Then you wouldn't have to worry about how long it'd take to kill it in the microwave. |

Finally someone has asked the real question here. And did you eat the food you were cooking in the microwave. |
