^^^ I liked the politics of it... lack of actual debate is killing politics.

Bill Maher has a caustic wit i appreciate as well. Actually, when you look at the role comedians have, it's easy to tell that these are actually some of the smartest people out there, because they have the ability to look at a particular situation that's actually quite serious, and find the humour in it.

I'll take a comic with the ability to make me laugh any day of the week over some snobby partisan hack whose only agenda is to shove his opinions down my throat.

Yeh, Bill Maher is aight, not as good as Stewart, but witty in his own right. I think comedians are more effective when dealing with hard-hitting political issues because they can diffuse the seriousness of an issue while saying what needs to be said.

The part where he said that puppets making prank phone calls lead up to his show was awesome :haha:

Dennis Miller was better before he became a republican, heh. Now his anologies are way to ing crazy, but he still can make a good joke.

Bill Maher is one of my favorite comedians, hes more raw than Stewart, but lacks a certain wit and intelligence that Stewart has and can nail right on the nose without making seem like an attack.
Kytracid
I find Stewert to be far more subtler then Maher, that's for sure. He's also more charismatic when he delivers a joke, and has that glint in his eyes about how ridiculous the situation is, when he pauses before letting the audience laugh along with him. He also uses self deprecation (something Conan's great at as well) really well -- which i find makes him more likeable then Maher.

Mahers style is more abrasive, and bordering almost on a rant -- which might be the reason some people don't like his diatribes. He certainly doesn't mince words, whereas Stewert tends to be a lot more calm, and his laid back style actually allows a non politically affliated person to better appreciate his jokes.

Yeah, im a big Maher fan, but Stewart sometimes just kills me. Maher makes me laugh cause there isnt nothing he wont jump on and verbally abuse sometimes, I used to have satellite and watched his HBO remake of Politically Incorrect, and it was really funny.
