I was checking out IGN today like a do every day and I saw this article on Ministry of Sound DJ's producing a "game" for Playstation 2. Here's the article:Ministry of Sound's Featured DJs

The company with the little "m" at the beginning of its name has made a hip announcement.

January 25, 2001

Ministry of Sound and moderngroove entertainment announced the feature DJs for their forthcoming music title on Tuesday that will be available for the PlayStation 2. Tall Paul, Ferry Corsten, Paul Dakeyne, Krafty Kuts and Paul Jackson were named the feature DJs for the music title. Each DJ will contribute an exclusive one-hour set of music, consisting of current charting tracks and classic club hits, as well as underground recordings and exclusive unreleased tracks.
Ministry of Sound is the world leader in dance music, with over 15 million recordings sold worldwide. Each of the DJs have worked with Ministry of Sound in the past, however, this music title for the PlayStation 2 is definitely a first for everyone.

"It is good to be involved with such a ground breaking project" remarked Tall Paul, who's been consistently featured in DJ Magazine's top 20 for his skills as a DJ and Producer. "We're excited to have such world-class talent contributing to this project," added John Stroppa, President and CEO of moderngroove, "you don't need to look much further than the UK top 40 for evidence of their abilities to mix solid sets." The much-anticipated sets will be mixed over the next few weeks in London.

Ministry of Sound: Interactive Edition is scheduled to hit the shelves of music and videogame retailers this spring.

do u know the name of the game?
TeKnoHe@d2025
No, that's all IGN had on it. I don't know if it's gonna be a game or more like a DVD done just for the PS2. IGN will have stuff on it later as it gets closer to a release.

Wasn't there a soundrack made for a Playstation game called Vip3out in 1999. It had tracks by Paul van Dyk among others...

I believe the name of that PS2 game is "Modern Groove" or maybe its all one word..moderngroove...not sure. But its supposed to be a game that makes cool trippy visuals with the playstation2's graphics, but not really a game, sound more like a party accessory

Yes I also heard that Mijk van Dijk from Superstition Records will make a Soundtrack for a Game on the PS2.
I think Sony wants to push up his PS2 with that Action, because till up to now I didn't hear anything good from this New Console!! The Games are average and the Price for this DVD/Console is too high (about 400$ in Germany). You see, if you have Money and the Power like Sony you can invest averything to make an Average Product fantastic!! I think that I will wait for the new X-Box, even if it is Produced by Microsoft.....))

PS2 is great, I had mine on reserve since about April 2000 and finally got it like 2 months after release. I don't really know if XBox is gonna be that good...the US hasn't had much luck with a video game console. If I was gonna buy any of the systems sold this year it would probably be a Nintendo Gamecube.
