On Saturday, November 24th, 2001 - Digital Tangerine Productions is bringing you an INCREDIBLE event designed to reach down into your guttyworks and make you wanna EXPLODE ( all in a good way of course ) as you lose your marbles in what has been carefully designed as one of the BEST "good-vibe" events to hit the Toronto scene in many many moons!!!
What makes it special??? What makes it different??? We have brought in ACS and asked them to create a never before seen LASER & LIGHT show in order to make your jaw drop! There will be a comfortable capacity of 1000+ people with room to dance - Massage Booths, Smoothie Booths, Sparkle Booths, Henna and Tarrot tents ... as well as a bunch of other surprises that have not been done since the good old days when parties where legal in England!
And ... if that isn't enough ... WE ARE ALSO GIVING AWAY A SET OF TECHNICS 1200 TURNTABLES IN A SPECIAL CONTEST!!!

Tell us 'bout Smokin'Jo!
Well, we had a few people ask us on other boards what the story on Smokin'Jo was ... and as such, thought we'd drop it in for everyone!

Smokin Jo used to be a resident with Effective, playing parties all over this fine city until Alienz discovered his talents during a routine visit, and stole him away to a planet far FAR away in a universe devoid of sound ( ugh! ). Jo thus spent the last couple of years TEACHING these alienz about the finer aspects of how much fun fast and aggressive basslines can be when played and mixed at a 140-150 level! Having completed his mission ... he is now returning to us once again - faster, bassier, more aggresive, and with 18 years worth of delicious turntable skills under his belt!!! I've included just a few of the boys previous match ups from some flyers I have here in our secret underground layer. For anyone that appreciates skills on a turntable, you are gonna LOVE this boy!!! Ticket Sales:
Ticket Sales have been GREAT so far which is ... haha, well ... great! Just a reminder tho that although we are looking to hold back a batch for sale at the door, we will be limiting capacity to just over 1000 in order to ensure a GREAT vibe ;)
Coffee? We have Coffee!
Following requests on a few other boards, we are doing everything we can to have fresh brewed java there for you all night!!! And at this point it looks like we will have it!

There is a roll-call thread somewhere in this forum ... this thread is mostly for updates & news ( ps - thx for the sticky - we look forward to giving Toronto a TRUE old skool trance party! ) if you are looking for your previous comments ;)
Camera's:
You are ok to bring your camera - we've let security know that they are allowed ;)
Venue:
Palais Royale on Lakeshore Blvd in Toronto with a few surprises! We have brought in special security to watch out for partiers from 9pm-2am at the "please-mug-me-bridge ... Also, in order to keep the party "fresh", we've given ACS a $5,000 budget for sound and lighting and asked them to create a never before seen show in Toronto so that you have something to remember!

We have added all the details of the contest to the Digital Tangerine website!
Other Stuff:
Ticket sales have been GREAT and all our surprise props are ready to go! As well, our coffee & espresso table is set, our henna artists are ready, our massage gurl is booked, and we confirmed our tarrot and fortune reading gurls today! 1000 seedless navel oranges are ready for pick-up and a ton more!
