Interesting topic. I also get this feeling, but I have known people who just don't get it at all and some who get it, but get completely different visions of myself.
Beat Foundation - Foundations II - Green (Like a lush green landscape)
Shango - Tunnelvision - Dark grey from the Acid 303 but light green in the piano.
Graemel - Spiritual Sky - Dark grey again from the Acid 303 and gold from the guitar, kinda like the feeling of a stormy sunset. ;)
Digital Blondes - Antheum - Light silver, which is the kind of feeling I get from more synthy tracks usually. |

Rodd-Y-Ler - Lifesigns -> Neon Green
Ralphie B - Massive -> Red/Green strobes
Veracocha - Carte Blanche -> loads of multiple colours
Adam Sheridan - Lektrik -> Purple/red lights |

Wow, I was thinking about posting something like this the other day :)
I agree, Trance is especially one-of-a-kind because of this reason, so much comes to mind when you hear it. |

i see colours in music too, we call this "Synesthesia", some people can and some people can't
Shpongle -> generally orange, yellow, brown...
|
I actually agree on that. But Divine Moments Of Truth is more red that orange :D

i think that's why i love electronic music, because i can see shapes and colours listening to it. |
Shapes are a bit harder to distinguish for me, but Out Of The Blue definetly is a "blob", while Exhale is very sharp triangles. |

I'd say it's purple and white... too bad everybody doesn't "see" the same colors. |

Shpongle Falls starts off Dark Brown & brightens to a sunset orange over water blue
Monster Hit is warm insane Red.
Star Shpongle Banner is Orange & Yellow for sure. |

I think it's very moss-colored in the beginning, i.e. dark green and some brown, but I agree with you about the sunset part. |

This sorta takes it to the next level. Id agree that moss-colour would be present at the start of that song. I can imagine colorful landscapes. I can see shpongle falls starting in a moss covered cave. It moves out into a swamp, which morphs as the song progresses, into a beach with the sun setting on the horizon. |

I think the colours i see are based on 2 factors:
If I hear the track for the first time in a club (ala Carte Blanche) whatever lights n lasers are happening at the time
or
If I own the record, possibly the cover can influence (ala Massive or binary finary) |
