re: Dj equipment advice

Ok well i finally almost have enough cash to buy most of teh gear i think i want. so the reason for this post is to get some input before i go a blow all that cash. Here is what I am looking at getting
2 - Technics 1200 M3D's
1 - Pioneer CDJ-1000Mk2
1 - Pioneer Djm-600 or 1 - Berhinger Djx700
So if anyone has any input on these choices, or alternates that you feel are better and have reasons for that opinion id love to hear them. As well you can see im chooseing 2 tables and 1 Cdj, if you have any input on that setup id love to hear that as well. thanks. |

Looks like a great setup to me. Large price difference between the DJM and the DJX though. One CD deck seems to suit a lot of people fine, especially those who mostly use vinyl, but I prefer to have 2 even though I am mainly a vinyl DJ as well. I just like having the option to mix two CDs or two vinyls or the combination of both. Anyways, I think you will have a setup you can be proud of with that list above.... |

stay away from the behringer DJX700. Also, look for alternatives for the DJM... There are better mixers in higher price ranges than the DJM.
CDJ1000's and M3D's are the best things you can get in their class. |

Great setup all together.
But please forget about the Behringer, and save up for the DJM-600.
If you have to choose (and you have, because you can't buy both of them...), choose the DJM instead of the DJX700.
I think the DJX700 is a bit out of place between all this quality equipment, the DJM fits in a lot better. But hey, that's just me. |

Any particular reasons to stay away from the DJX-700, as for other mixers in a higher price range than the DJM, i cant afford, the x62 and x92 are sick, but way beyond my budget. this setup i listed is right on the edge and i havent bought any vinyl yet.
another question i have is, Does anyone know of any new CDJ's coming out or anything new that is in the works worth waiting for. or should i just go ahead with the setup i listed and start learning?

Well, the DJM600 is just higher quality. That should be an important reason.
And about the CDJ's: I don't think there are any new models planned, but you might try the Denon S-3000. I've read a lot of good stuf about these decks, and they are cheaper than the cdj-1000's, leaving room for a different mixer maybe. |

If my calculations are correct you would save about £148 (approx. $240) if you got a Xone:62 and a Denon DNS3000 instead of the DJM-600 and the CDJ-1000MKII.
Depends on what you want, but I'd definately go for the A&H/Denon approach in this case... If I only had the money :whip: |

| the DJX700 is cheaper but so is the quality of the unit, most of the spiffy things that stand out on that mixer will more than likely either die out on you or not work the way you think/want/need them to |

The quality of the DJX700 is very low. The faders are cheap and the effect unit is useless. The faders tend to leak very quick. The sound quality is poor. You don't even get what you pay for with this mixer.
Why not get a Xone 32? |

please don't put these two together as alternatives, they just arn't :)
the djx700 is a cheap attempt at a djm600, and doesn't even come close in practise.
definitely have a look at the denon s3000 cd decks, then see if you can afford an ecler nuo5 ;) |

Hmm interesting. can you give me a little more input on those alternate devices vs teh DJM and CDJ. i guess what benefits there on with that mixer and cdplayer vs the pioneer stuff? thanks again guys and gals |
