why slow down XP with thes cosmectic addons ?? |
Exactly.
It's great that you can make Windows *look* like OS X - I was tinkering with WindowBlinds and Litestep years ago - but it's a superficial likeness.
OS X is based on a Linux kernel. That means it's faster, smaller, and more stable. Also means that there are hardly any software titles that run on it - see, I'm not playing sides here. But cosmetic enhancements to Windows to make it *look* like a higher-end system (while actually reducing the performance) sounds a lot like what ricers do to their Civics... |

Yes, it does.
I tried to delude myself about a year ago into thinking that it didn't, but ultimately I got sick of my computer running slow and totally noticed the difference after removing it.
My computer isn't slow either, it's an Athlon XP with 512 MB of RAM, and I keep it running very smoothly. |

Lets try something...
How about you go 6 hours without being a contrarian. |

Dunno bout you guys but I tried almost the exact same WindowsBlinds on work and it seems to just work fine on most modern day computers without incident... |

| Just out of curiosity I installed Windowblinds on my box for a few minutes to check out the performance. Runs perfectly fine, but then again I'm working with an Athlon64 3400+, 2GB PC3200 DDR, and a set of Seagate Barracuda 120GB S-ATA drives in RAID-0 :D :D :D |
