What is: 'Twinkle Progressive' ???

Ok, here's the jist:

Nalin on here takes credit for coining this term first for what is a 'sub-sub genre' of trance I guess. Many a tune that fall into this category have a distinct and similar style to them, it's progressive trance, so a lil slower (130bpm usually but not exclusively), with a barrage of delay (n reverb) on the main synth(s) adding a 'twinkle-like' effect. Now I'm in love with this style, and I want to know if others have noticed it too and if there are any more tracks like this? :eyes:

These are some examples that I have:

(I'm at work, so this had to be from the top of my head) :D

Gill Norris - Forme
Gill Norris - Forme (Leama & Moor remix)
Ava Mea - The End
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know
Probspot - Blueberry (or anything by Rico Soarez really)

Ya know what I mean??? There are tons more I can't think of right now, but PLEASE make sure you've heard these (I will edit and add more that I find fit the category later) before making a suggestion ;)

Thanx! :tongue3

Remember when James Holden used to be the King of the Pixies?

That sound reminds me of Amigatracker days.

I love it too.

Yes VERY Holden-esk... this is another reason I bring it up, since he's playing tomorrow night ;)

Too bad he doesn't spin much like he produces :nervous:

Yes...I was wondering if you were going to start this thread george...

I say Perry O'Neil and Mark Otten are two producers that typify this "twinkle trance" sound.

hmmmm...Matthew Dekay too perhaps?

It's a great sound, it's like the perfect merging of trance and prog. Beautiful music for sure.
