WHat is your most ideal atmosphere and place to enjoy trance in??

is it a niteclub? on a certain day of the week or year? in a certain time of day?? with particular ppl around??
is it a room with a comfy couch and headphones on? is it in a hot-boxed car?? is it in an open meadow in a far-off forest? is it while driving away from a red sunset? is it on the beach somewhere in the world?

I know my own... will post it soon. ... what's yours??
Feel free to be creative and very descriptive, go back to what makes you love trance/progressive so much. (not limited to genre)

for me its not necessarily the place...but the memories that come with my favorite songs throughout the years. I've now compiled 24 original (meaning all different songs) trance cds (i have many many more in my dj list, but as a listener, i'm much more choosy pleasing only myself opposed to the masses). The point is these cds are all connected to special memories in my life, and when i hear certain trance songs, they bring me back to these great moments. It makes me feel good, no matter what is happening in my life, while that song is on, i live in that moment.

to directly answer your question though, when driving is probably the primary time i listen to music...and i enjoy the feeling of being by yourself in your own space with no one telling you to turn it off, or they don't like trance, becuase you don't have to give a , becuase you're in your car.

to futhur that comment to...when something surreal in nature is happening, that hieghtens the moment that much more...such as driving away or into a full red sunset...or other things.

and of course...nothing beats hearing one of your favorite songs in a club where you can go nuts to it!!!

So ALL trance nowadays is bad? Liam there is TOO much music produced for you to not like at least a few songs or a particular producer...

One moment this summer:
Getting out of the Mediteranean and heading towards the bearchbar and hearing Greece 2000 being dropped. UNING REAL!:D
I want to experience that again...:(

I have a reasonably ecclectic taste in music...but epic, uplifting trance has without a doubt been my favourite for a good 4-5 years now...good trance givea me goosebumps :D

I think I like so much because it works in so many different environments (for me, anyway)...alone, with a few friends, or in the middle of 1000 people on a dancefloor at Guv or KH (and Boa after Orkidea ;) )...or on the tiny one in the old VIP room at System...while driving...at someone's house with everyone meeting before a party,... ...in my room, by myself, on a sunday afternoon.

I think that's why some people just really love trance...it's not dependent on context for them...although maybe you get something slightly different out of it, depending on that context

for me, although I enjoy it alone a lot, it's tough to beat listening along with people who just "get it" the same way you do...mid- conversation, one person suddenly motions to be quiet...*incredible build up and break*...or maybe some great vocals...song continues as everyone sighs in content with a murmur of praise or two for the DJ or producer...conversation resumes :D

wow, cheesy huh? :p

hmm interesting. my kind of atmosphere would be something like this:

wintery grey skies at dawn, snow falling, and the song "tell me why" playing.:)
