This is an excellent thread.
Most people are interested in getting what they want, and getting their own way, and at an early age work out how best to get it done.
Some of the more common ways I've seen people get there way:
1. The Screamer
The screamer, or the tantrum thrower, gets their way by cracking the s, losing their temper, and this technique is quite effective because most people dislike conflict and when faced with such emotional, often intense, behaviour they cracked and give in to the screamer.
Often this person is quite common in business and usually make good bosses because people generally hate being yelled at and this person is well practised in being loud. Quite often the person that frequently uses this behaviour to get their way is a real softie inside.
2. The Super Nice Person
Some people are annoyingly nice, and use this method to get their way. The constantly say 'sorry' even when they didn't do anything wrong and most people are just aren't heartless enough to say no to someone that acts this polite and nice. Don't be fooled however, this Super Nice Person can often be totally heartless and ruthless, but just knows that being really nice is the best way for them to get what they want.
There are lots more but I couldn't be to bothered profiling them as most posts here are not read if more than 2 sentences.
Its interesting though to sit down and see how you get your way. |

| the best way is doing ur own thing. say it if people dont want to follow and u do it. if u have a better way and show ur way is better time after time, people will learn to follow. success is the key tho. first sucess then respect. |

This is me right here. I usually ask really nicely, and so people can't help but want to do it for me. But if they ask me to do something for them, I will be more than happy too.
I also use the build-up method. I will build what I want up before I tell them what it is and say "can you do me a big huge favour?" and make it sound like it is really hard and crappy, and then all it will be is to pass me something or something stupid like that.
But it works, because when they hear that it is really simple and stupid they are happy to do it. They're all like "SURE, here you go :)"
