It is still unclear what group has kidnapped Margaret Hassan. Two videos and yet no identity of a group. Most of you, if not all, are already familiar with the story.

Profile: Margaret Hassan
Dublin-born charity worker Margaret Hassan has lived in Iraq for 30 years, and began working for Care International soon after it began operations there in 1991.
In her 60s, she is now head of the charity's operations in the country.
Married to an Iraqi, Mrs Hassan has joint British and Iraqi nationality.

The Iraqi boy who wants to swap places with Hassan
Hearing of Hamdan’s plight, Hassan, head of the Iraqi operations of Care International, arranged for him to travel to Jordan, paying for treatment at a hospital in Amman, the capital, that means he can now walk with a stick.
Hamdan’s father Kasim claims that she financed it entirely from her own pocket. “No words can be said to describe the generosity of Margaret or our gratitude for her,” Kasim said last week, choking back tears.
.......
“I would crawl on my knees for her all over Iraq if that would bring her back,” he said. “I plead with the kidnappers to let her go, take care of her and help her so she can continue the good work she is doing in Iraq. She may be British by name but this woman is more Iraqi than many of the Iraqis here. Take me instead.”

No word from Hassan kidnappers
Kidnappers holding Dublin-born aid director Margaret Hassan have not yet identified themselves or made any demands after more than two days.
The silence from the kidnappers persists despite an emotional plea by Mrs Hassan's Iraqi husband.
Officials in Britain and Ireland say they are making every effort to establish who is holding the aid worker, and to secure her freedom.
Mrs Hassan, seized on Tuesday, heads Care International operations in Iraq.
The charity has since suspended its operations there.

Agency appeals to kidnappers
Aid agency Care International has made a televised appeal asking the kidnappers of its Iraq director Margaret Hassan to release her.
......
"Mrs Hassan is a humanitarian who has lived in Iraq for 30 years and has worked for the past 13 years to secure better health and water and sanitation for the people of Iraq," Mr Caillaux said on al-Jazeera television.
"She is a naturalised Iraqi citizen and always holds the people of Iraq in her heart.
"Care joins with many of the people whose lives Mrs Hassan has touched over her decades of service in Iraq in reaching out to her captors to appeal to their humanity."
He said the agency was deeply concerned for her welfare.
"We call on the people who are holding Mrs Hassan to understand that she is an Iraqi and to release her to her family and the people who love her."

Weeping Hassan in plea for life
New footage of hostage Margaret Hassan weeping as she pleads with Britain to save her life has been broadcast on the al-Jazeera TV station.
Mrs Hassan begs Prime Minister Tony Blair to withdraw British forces from Iraq to save her from the same fate as murdered British captive Ken Bigley.

I am hoping to add another article to this post. One saying she has been liberated. I would hate to see another beheading. All political issues aside, these activities have to stop. |

for a Muslem to kidnap and murder a woman during Ramadan (forget for a moment that she's spent three decades helping the most unfortunate of Iraqis) just goes to show the complete ignorance and malevolence of these particular douchebags.
it's my understanding that a true man of Allah would never do something like this.
where in the f**k is the outrage among the Islamic leadership of the region?
why in the hell has Al-Jazeera gotten a pass for supporting crap like this? |

I tend to disagree here. They're just a bunch of brainwashed morons who think that they should prove to be good muslims by slaughtering infidels. Kinda like crusaders back in the days. |

I agree, this is really sad situation, but all this mess isn't their fault, but America's.

You have reasons to support bombing civilians for lies and stupid reasons, and that’s your own right, and that goes the same for Al-Jazeera, maybe they trying to show the world something? like what a mess Iraq is and who's fault it is...we can't say that about Fox .
Please understand, am in the same frequency as everyone, this is horrible, this women did nothing wrong, infact she only helped like you said, but going blaming things that have nothing to do with it, is just not right.
oh well my 2 cents, this is the world we created, and i don't think we gonne see any changes for the next 30 years. |

to do what they do is certainly brainwashed, no doubt about it imo. No one would do such terrible things without beeing brainwashed in some way.
