| TiVo is a hard drive for your TV. It temporarily records programs (unless you choose to permanently record them), so you can pause, rewind, fast forward (although you can only go up to the point where it's live. You can't fast forward past what's already been on.), etc. |

damn thats awesome. gotta get me one of those. So can you record programs from tv onto the HD and transfer it to your computer? |

| Umm... I'm sure you can somehow, but I don't see why you'd want to. You can just watch the recorded programs on your TV. |

| speaking of TIVO, has anyone taken the hard drive apart from the machine, and run it as a secodary drive on your computer to see what kind of information is on the hard drive, and what file types are the saved tv programs .... |

someone has I'm sure. I'm sure people have swapped in bigger harddrives too. I'm sure there is a forum out there with a ton of information on this. |

It happens all the time, it is a little game for your subconcious. The biggest succes is The Simpsons. This proyect was said to have beign started by the NSA, but it goes beyond that.
But then again, I am just trippin.
