Because of Bush's tax cuts. I find this really funny, especially because people have been making such a big deal out of it. Also mentioned in the article is Peter B Lewis (who's name is on the crazy ass Peter B Lewis Building which I have class in all the time). Apparently he sold some stock to himself and with the money he saved from Bush's tax cut, he "18.9 million to anti-Bush organizations". :D

she sheltered herself long before Bush took office. as a savings percentage compared to that previous the cuts, to her, is negligable. obviously not enough for her to consider a charity.
i make it a point, though, not to get involved in class warfare.
she, and Lewis should just be thankful that she is sheltered in a country that encourages these things. no doubt they are.
BTW, that article is "web-exclusive" commentary for MSNBC for a good reason. it's so slanted i had to tilt my head just to read it. |
