| Sometime after 3AM on Friday, me and my girl were on the dancefloor at System. She was a meter in front of me and we were both facing the DJ when this big middle-eastern guy appeared out of nowhere and quickly positioned himself inbetween us. For a minute, i was too busy enjoying the music with my eyes closed. When i opened them again, i realized that i was now behind and to the left of her, with the guy still inbetween us. He also moved a little bit to the left, clearing out a spot for his buddy to move right behind her. This was all perfectly executed in under 30 seconds. So when i realized what was going on, i grinned because for a change, i was on the OTHER end of the table. At that point, i put my hand on the big guy's shoulder, pointed at the girl, said "MINE" and pushed him aside. Rinse and repeat with his friend. I decided to have a little fun, so i turned my girl around, told her that these guys are trying to pick her up and said she should at least wave at them to cheer them up. We were both stoned out of our minds and started cracking up hysterically. The big guy got embarassed and stretched out his hand, trying to introduce himself. It was the cutest thing :) Then the other guy started saying how beautiful she is and what a lucky guy i am. I said thanks, patted him on the side of his head and forgot about his existance. Yeah, interesting things happen when you let your girl wander off even a few feet away from you at a club. I tried to introduce her to another chick i ran into and got them dancing for awhile, but then they got kinda embarassed by people watching with hungry eyes and stopped. Anyway, in the end of the night it turned out that the other girl approached her later with "hey, so you come here often?" (hahah, THE most overused pickup line at clubs) and tried to pick her up. But apparently, she was really bad at it and nothing happened... unfortunately :haha: |
