I ignore those stupid polls. Why? Because it's all B.S.!!! One tactic the republicans use is to give non-sense information so then voters will be like "Oh damn, this guy is in the lead by that much? Screw it, my vote won't matter, I'm not gonna vote anymore" when in reality it will. They want people to NOT vote. The voters who are likely NOT to vote are most likely gonna vote against them. Perfect way to win the election....

Look @ the polls of Gore and Bush back in 2000.. it was about similar or worst then Kerry @ this same time.. at the end, Gore ended up as final result nation wide with a 2 point lead.. have in mind, that almost all polls had GORE behind.. so just sit back and think, if Kerry is doing better then Gore in 2000, wouldnt that mean something?!?!.. Polls dotn ask newly registered voters, and democrats have been able to register a hell lot of new voters.. they just need to go out and vote.. and you'll see.
ambs
i think both parties are underestimating the number of registered younger liberals for this year's election....

but let's see what happens.... cant count those chickens before they're hatched
LiquidX
Most College students and newly registered voters are For Kerry.. Likely Voters on the polls will be a 2:1 ratio for Kerry.. and that's not taken into consideration on the polls.. and gallup polls 10% more republicans then democrats.. hence the big ass advantege that it gives Bush.

As far as the polls go, for those of you who haven't heard this yet, pretty much every poll you see is from phone calls. These phone calls are to home phones. Do you have any idea what percentage of the population is overlooked by calling only home phones. I'm the only person I know in my age group that has a home phone, and I never answer it. Also, these polls almost never poll first-time voters, and because of rampant voter registration amongst young people, the voter turnout this year is expected to be a record per capita. For those of you worrying, maybe that'll make you feel better.

On the other side, for those of you who are concerned about the environment, your civil liberties, and a general hands-off attitude toward the government's involvement in your life, you lose either way. If that's what you want, then you're a libertarian at heart.

Even if it has no impact on your decision for this election, I urge you all to realize that if you want things to change so that this country is something that you can be more proud of, then you must realize that the only way to do it is to be rid of this bipartisan system. The only way to quickly and effectively throw a third party into the mix is to elect a president who hails from one. For this election, I understand that voting for anything other than your dem or rep is something that you don't want weighing on your conscience, but I urge you to do some research on third party involvement, even if you don't do it until after you vote (better late than never, change doesn't happen overnight). I meet very view young people these days who are extreme left or right...most are more libertarian, and our two main choices for leaders are MUCH more authoritarian!

...food for thought...

Too bad the german vote doesn't matter a single bit. The votes that do matter are American Citizens. No one else. Using european or wherever polls to show that people think kerry is better is silly, because they don't matter.

Europeans want Kerry to be in power because he WILL diminish our power and give it to the europeans. Do we as Americans want a stronger europe (economically that is)??? If you do, move to fkn Europe :whip: :whip: :whip:

silly... yeah, them, no one else's opinion matters...

i think it's nice to see what other people think...

by power do you mean imperialistic control over iraq & its oil?
I'm willing to share some power and share some burden & responsibility... ohh and helping europe's economy can help ours too
