What an awesome performance!!! Those guys are wild! Scott Henry's opening set was bangin' too, no disappointment there!

Scott ending his set with Tears For Fears - Shout = :eyespop:

That was horrendous. I didn't hear good music once last night.

RITM put on a spectacle I suppose, but I got really bored. Music without substance just doesn't cut it for me if I am not on DR0GS.

To each his own, but I thought that it was an amazing performance. Those guys are perhaps the most creative artists in the whole industry.

Perhaps through the years I've just been subjected to so many different genres of EDM that I'm able to show appreciation for everything from DnB to Techno to Hard House and beyond. And for the record, I was as sober as sober can be (as I usually am!)

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad time.

I went ape when Scott Henry dropped
Chemical Brothers - Electronic Battle Weapon 7

Musically creative? Not a chance, that is so done its not even funny. Granted that the performance aspect could be enjoyed. Frankly, I don't particularly care about people dressing up and jumping around on a stage. Thats like a damn punk rock show.

I can say I like most genre's of EDM. I generally separate music by what I consider bad, and what I consider good. Last night, IMO, was not good.

Again it was cool that there were a lot of people. They seemed pretty into it. Thats fine, that to me wasn't on my level. I just find that stuff to lack substance.

However, if you enjoyed it and found something about it that you liked then kudos. At least you didn't feel like you wasted 20 bucks.

I beg to differ. These guys have more creative talent than the vast majority of producing DJ's.

I'm sorry to hear that you have such a polarized view of EDM that you can only classify it as either good or bad.

Dude its either good or bad, whats the middle? To appreciate a track, artist, set, you have to consider it/them good.

I went in to the show not sure what to expect. I left very unsatisfied. I don't want the sounds of old anymore.

Okay, alright, decent, average, adequate, satisfactory... I don't want to have to break out a thesaurus to prove my point.

I don't know about you, but in the colorful world that I live in there's more to it than just black and white. :)

I also appreciate things that deviate from my normal taste. I learned a long time ago to steer away from the good/bad myopia.

Oh its not about "taste" persay. I look for substance in music. Last night I didn't get it. Thats the main point I was trying to make. That somehow deviated.

Well, I heard some House, some Trance, some DnB, and even some Enigma thrown into their mix. That was substantial enough for me. ;)
