i'm not sure but you can look for info on the recent wave of privatization of prisons and schools. i'm sure there is plenty of information out there.
i think the jury is still out on the privatization of schools a la the for-profit edison companay that has operations in several states. look into this though, because i think they've done a poor job, as measured by test scores. i'm not sure though.
maybe someone else can help you out more.good luck. |

Greater privitization (i.e. retracting the monopolistic status of the energy companies), some speculate, might have helped prevent the power-cuts from happenning. |
