You think your work is ****ed up (pg. 3)

Boy I have had some shiat jobs, I mean the jobs you would not do even if you got paid well. My first job was being a human dishwasher for a really busy resturant, which was nice but the kitchen was small and was always roasting like working in Satans Layer !. I had a friend who did the same job as me but he could not add 5+5 and thought a fork was a spoon which is funny but not as funny when he ed up every night and you had to stay behind extra !

most nights i would start at 7ish, being exhausted from school/college and probabiliy on a friday night (so when my friends are out boozing and drinking) Im stuck washing plates. I turned up feeling like , i would walk into the kitchen and there would be like 300 Plates with eaten food on and half attempted dishes people use to mix the chocolait cake with there sunday roast once they finish there dishes, of course you cant put all of the plate contents in the washer so you had to scrape it into a bin...these bins were massive and held left overs from everything all mashed together and most nights they would burst causing you too spend 2 hours with the MOP !. Now when plates with food and water mix together it blocks the drainS, those beans that have slipt through clog the whole system up and yes you have to put your and hand in an break up all the food stuck in the plug whole..causing all nasty bits of food to get stuck under your nails. The hieght of the kitchen was about 7ft, im 6ft and the heat and the smell of chips , which you might think is nice is not, chip fat stinks out your clothes that bad that no matter how many more times you wash them they always smell. Your hair use to be greesy and took 4 times to wash completely. We had to polish every knife and fork...wash all the black stained grills...mop...dry...also wash ppls uniform...All for £2.20 per hour / $3.50 p/h

I got SO PISSED OFF I flooded the place by kicking the dishwasher U-BEND main pipe causing 10 gallons of water flooding the whole resturant...

REVENGE IS SWEET !.

I Also use to Push Shopping Trolleys too. I got Sacked because A friend was giving me a Trolley ride and collided with a BMW M3 , yes the Managers. I tried Denying it but the CCTV Caught me out. My friend got sacked to for smoking in the petrol station.

K, this guy works in our office, he was a former merchandiser, which is what I am. So I show up at 6pm for a 4 hr shift and I worked my ass off (made some tip money tho...not telling how much...substantial would be a word to describe it and if my work was looking in, which I'm sure they are, they might get angry). Anyway, we bust our ing asses (me and the full timer, who pulled 13 hrs today cuz some lazy mofo I was supposed to work with, calls in sick, which he is not, he is in buffalo, partying for reading week). So at 9pm, we ask the guy for help, he says no, cuz he is too busy macking the ing whore that works in the office, they must be sleeping with each other but still, we are busting our asses. He finally helps us at 9:55pm, after we asked ing 6 times and he stays for 5 mins and leaves..the cockwank. So we end up working till 11pm, an hour overtime for me and the manager that had to stay goes postal in hearing that the guy is too busy macking the whore (she is a whore btw.., she claims to sleep with 4 different guys every week). So he is getting writen up, the guy in Buffalo will get fired.

so do any of you have lazy ass co-workers and co-workers that rather just do nothing rather than help you.?

p.s - that was such therapy to get out of my system.

Serves him right. He is the proper definition of a selfish, ignorant and inconsiderate with no qualms whatsoever who has little or no consideration for the people around him.
Thankfully, all my co-workers are very cooaperative. I am the one who's usually slacking.:p

Unless its in the beef patty of a whopper, I think all the looking around your work wont help you at all.

Yeah, I go to a local College. I've only got about 4 classes right now though, so I usually have to find some way to entertain myself during the day. I'll usually just sleep or browse the internet or find a good movie or go shopping with money I don't have :haha:

It's a dog's life. :stongue:

But really, I have about $50 in my checking account, so it's time to go out and get a job!:nervous:

There's a lady at my work that is supposed to be a full time employee, but usually only comes in ~3/week. Then she gets all pissy with us cause she's behind. Sometimes I just want to tell her, "Things would be a lot easier if you came to work a little more often, and you wouldn't have to be such a bitch either!"

hell, i thought i was a lazyass spoiled kid, when i was 17 i had the exact same job that rostros described as a 'human dishwasher' , only one diffrence, we didnt have a dishwashing machine, it was all done by hand.
for minimum wage which is equivelant of the amount you said you got.
i didnt mind the job itself too much, but i quit after 2 monthes due to the fact that i wasnt getting enough shifts (i was getting like 4 per month).

from age 12 till age 16 i worked EVERY friday night (except when i had gigs of my own, which i did have) carrying a dj's equipment and assembling it, i was getting 120 nis per night (min. wage is 18nis per hour) and i kept at it.

the only reason i switched to the dishwashing job is to get a feel of a real job, and not a 4 times per month gig, i wanted to come out in the end of the month with a few grands, but they didnt give me enough shifts (why the hell do they hire 8 dishwashers?).

now im working @ a book store for less then minimum wage cause its actually illegal for me to work while im a soldier (nevermind AWOL/renegade, its still illegal for someone to hire me) cataloging the entire warehouse (which is completely disorginized and holds more then a million books on a 5.5 meter by 2.5 meter space) to an old computer (at least there i get to do as many shifts as i want to, i can even work for 12 hours straight if thats what i want-but-it wont be considered overtime)

oh man .. people who have not worked with "lazy" people are probably the luckiest people in the world. if you are a "lazy" bum, i'm all cool for it, as long as you are not acting like either a road block or dead animal in the middle of the highway.

but i have worked with several lazy people. here are two instances. first instance, my first job i worked in a boat ticket office, which was a bustling business back then. during the peak times, i worked with this chick named courtney. she was the same age as me, so we related pretty well, in terms of pop culture and everything. she was pretty cool, but i did not like her work style. one day, we were really busy, 20 minutes before cruise time, and there were like 50 people in line. we were selling and stuff, and she leaves to go to the boat to "use the restroom and get a drink". five minutes pass, and i do not see her. i look towards the boat, and she is flirting with two of the dockman. that sucked. she comes back when the boat is leaving. i was pretty cool with it.

second instance, i used to work for circuit city. i worked hard there, trying to make commission standards and everything. made some good money, until i noticed the company started to lower my commissions on all the computers, and the boss was such a prick trying to knit pick everything i did. my co-workers would be taking hour lunches in the lunch room, and he was ok with it, but when i took more than 30 minutes, he gets on my case. that job sucked. so i quit that one. let's just say i had 5 different jobs in a 2 year span. that sucked.

You "hard working" people should try roofing or brick layers for change. You'll get a real taste of "ed up jobs".

Hahahaha - no doubt. I admire people who do physical labor for a living - it's just work that I haven't been raised to do, though. All those years of school for nothing, it would seem. Not that bricklayers and roofers are uneducated or by any means "stupid" but my calling just isn't in that sort of thing. I've observed (from having lots of family and friends in the construction business) that a certain personality type is just associated with that line of work. Mr Fixit - handyman - kinesthetic learner - whatever you want to call it: it's just not me, though. ;)
