School --- The Bitching thread

lucky was asking me how college was going so i decided to start a new thread about it and school in general... just whine and bitch all you want here... the teachers will never read this ;)
anyways now im a sophmore in college (second year) and this year i actually have to "STUDY" :eek: you see the first year here i breezed by all my classes without studying and got basicly all A's. israeli highschool really prepared me well for afterwards. btw im majoring in computer engineering. well anyways back to bitching... i actually get swamped with homework, and im not the type that puts effort into the work outside of school time. my grades are reflecting... so far i got a 68 on my first exam in both computer science and math (i love math so im freaking out) but then agian i got a 92 in my thermodynamics class :D tonight i have an exam in statics & dynamics... wish me luck
ps, energy - jeremy called me agian this weekend and he's coming over on friday... then saturday night is the big day! and btw there are pics from the rave i went to last weekend in the rave/partie review thread. go check it out |

well, i can be bitching about school 2, but well im on the 8th grade and im not even in high school yet.. i get load of homeworks and other works to do.. but im lucky enough to have smart friends that help me out in the time of need ;), so far i got a 91 in my math test and 85 in my arab test, thats all i had this year, hope my grades keep gettin better..

a question izzy: how did u get to the US?
1, how old are you now
2, did u make the 3 Zahal years before?
3, what about admission tests?
4, so why Texas?
5, hows life there? any other jews/israelis?

Well, i'm in the 9th grade now and things are going pretty well, but i have to put real effort in school now 'cause i want to move to a good school next year, so i need good grades for that...
I got 98 in English (native speakers), 89 in math, 94 in physics and 82 in french.. and a biology test is next week (but i'm really good in biology, so it's not such a big deal..;)).. anyway, wish me luck! |

Well now when i got to the 9th grade i began working alot harder then befor with my homework and with school, when i was at 7 and 8 th grades i wasnt doing anything at class, even thiught i got 85 ממוצע
alonzo - your lucky to study french at your school, here im learning ing arabik, that sux big time....idont get it why do we need to learn arabic when all the arabian freaks around us just want to kill us???
anyways i got a הקבצות test in math soon, soo i have been learning hard all holyday , really important for me to be in הקבצה א. |

as for 5 - its a blast living in Texas! such a different culture here, easpecially the college life, its just like in the movies. the only thing that gets me is that they are so conservitive unlike israel which is far more liberal. there are a few jews here but most are "flotzim" and im the only true israeli in my college, the rest of them are from isrealis who moved with they're families years ago.
and for 6 - there are kusiot here and there (you should see some of the hot cowgirls) but not at the frequency there are in isreal. isreali girls are so beautiful, my theory why is because they are so varied and theres a large gene pool (jew in israel are from everywhere in the world). then agian i could make do with what i have here, hehe ;)

Well my story, ..to make it short: i was born in Tel aviv, lived in Raanana 7 years and moved to Austria in 1991 (during the gulf war). My mum is Austrian (but jewish) so she kinda ame back while my dad, a real israeli ;) , had to adjust himself to a complete new world..like me and my 2 lill brothers (who know more about austria now than about israel)
I kept contact as i tried to visit as much as possible. and in 1999 i decided to spend half a year studying in Raanana (my austrian school allowed me). thus i got some friends there still, but unfortunately i havent been able to visit them for more than a year due to this ty Intifada..i hope to come in Canuka though.
