In other news... Square Enix announced its first PSP title, called Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, an action RPG based on the settings of Final Fantasy VII, as the fourth entry in the Compilation of the Final Fantasy VII project. The game is headed by Yoshinori Kitase, and directed by Hajime Tahata. No release date has been set for the game.

Now I must own both the NDS and the PSP.

Thanks Mr. Moderator. Oh wait. You're not one.

By the way, people were discussing PC/Video games in here in multiple different threads over the past few weeks.

This news is more than just gaming news, by the way. The PSP is for viewing movies, listening to MP3's, and communicating wirelessly.

Honestly, I'd say this thread is more worthy of being in here than 50% of the posts that are on the front page.

Haha. Sorry. I'm just a bit more excited about that then the actual PSP release.

Final Fantasy VII is the last Final Fantasy I've actually played, so these spin-offs, like the Dirge of Cerberus, do seem interesting.

The spin-offs such as Before Crisis (A cell phone game with the Turks as the main characters), Advent Children (The movie), as well as the one you stated (which is a, so far, unknown genre - People thinking it's going to be DMC-style) are all really piquing my interest as well.

I'm one of the folks that'll tell you that you're better off not playing any of the FF's after VII... Haha. Maybe FFXI and the upcoming FFXII but still, not in the same league as FFVII.
