Attention Pedestrian

Cars are 2 tonnes of steel. You are 150-200 lbs of flesh. You have the right of way but that doesnt mean that the person driving the 2 tonne peice of steel will always see you just because you decide to cross the road without even looking first.

Next time you decide to j-walk please dont do it when im 50 feet away from you. Please look before you cross and most importantly don't be carrying your baby in the process. Id really hate to have you killed and for me to go to jail all because you are too ignorant to realize the vast differences in weights between you and my car.

Thank you.

My experience overseas suggests that even if a pedestrian has the right of way, they run like hell.

Its the exact opposite here. People seem to think that if they get hit its automatically the car driver's fault which it usually is. What baffles me though is that it wouldnt matter much to them whos fault it was if they are 6 feet under.

its easy to sue here..thats why

and over there they treasure health and good state over wealth

Again, money doesnt matter to you if you are 6 feet under.

people just pop up and start running, its crazy, you need nerves of steel to drive over there. And no driver ever stops or slow down for pedestrians :eyespop: :eyespop:

You should go to Montreal. It's like 10x worse there. People just start walking across the street whenever they feel like it. The funny thing is, the drivers don't really seem to mind.

(at least that's the way it's been when I went over there)

Don't you just hate people that don't look b4 the cross the street?
The worst thing is, there are so many people out there do not have a clue on how to cross the street. I should set up a course, "learn how to cross a street 101".

yes its true, we're the worst jaywalkers in canada.

At one intersection downtown, police gave 133 tickets in 30 minutes to pedestrians and drivers who didn't obey signals.:wtf:
