| my wife used to work with me at the place i still work now. The day we were booked on a months leave just happened to be the day pay reviews and a bonus share issue were announced. the bosses were not happy when they gave her the back-dated pay rise, a bonus, and then found out she was quitting, but the month's notice was covered by the holiday we'd already booked so that day was her last. |

| I used to work at Buffalo Wild Wings (formerly known as BW-3s). This is a chain restaurant where they sell wings galore plus a whole lot of other pub food. On Tuesdays, they have 30˘ wing night (it was 25˘ wing night when I worked there), and generally get a ton of orders. I was working the grill and the fry fags were all in the back smoking while I was trying to pump out orders and orders. They had about 30 tickets waiting and my area was getting backed up because of these lazy bastards. Id heard about people quitting in this manner before, so I decided to leave then and there, and on my way out, grabbed all the tickets from the fry side and grill. Didnt tell anyone I quit, just walked out, pitched the tickets, and went happily on my way. I went and smoked a bowl with a co-worker from there that I went to high school with. When I went to pick up my check, they threatened to withold it, saying I cost them alot of money. I just told them I had no clue what they were talking about, told them to pay me or i was calling OSHA, and left with a happy grin when they handed it over. |

Trust me - I heard that a LOT! :stongue:
Even working there...people would come through the Drive-thru (obviously guys just getting off work) and say..."You don't have beer do ya?" with the utmost seriousness. :haha:
(the answer is NO, incase you don't go to American Fast food much :p ) |

On the last night, just before I left, (I was quitting because I was moving to Florida) I took one of the ginormous 16-piece buckets designed to hold a whole a bunch of chicken...and I filled it to the brim the Mountain Dew: Code Red. :haha: :haha:
I had to drive real slow going home, so I wouldn't tip the soda over. I was especially cautious because Casey (a coworker) had pulled the same thing I did that night (only he used a 12-piece bucket and it was full of lemonade :p ) and he had actually taken a corner so fast that he spilt lemonade all over the inside of his car!!!! LMFAO!
Anyways, I'm taking it real easy on the way home, when a cop rips out of the McDonald's parking lot, flashes his lights at me and urges me to pull over. I'm thinking "Oh , he must think I'm drunk because I'm driving too slow!" Really, it turned out that I didn't use my blinker (which is B.S. anyways) and he pulled me over just to scold me for that. I was so worried he would ask me what was in the bucket, find out, and think I was weird on drugs or something. :stongue: (cops make me paranoid)
You guys would be surprised as to how long something like that can survive in the reridgerator without going flat - I think all of the fizz could stay on the bottom and supply the surface soda! :eyespop: |

When I was at school I worked as a kitchen hand and it was a really job and they would pay me crap wages and it was really high stress. I was like 16 and they made me prepare the plates for dinner, like get the salads ready, and cook chips and garlic bread, and make desserts, and wash dishes and peel potatoes and carrots, and debone smoked chicken, and wash the shelves and the deep freeze and all this other , it was ed. I did all the work noone wanted to do, and would earn like $20 per nite.
So one night it was really busy and this waitress would always be a real bitch and get stressed out and scream at people in the kitchen if orders weren't ready in time and for no real reason. So one night it was ing packed and I was cooking chips, getting plates garnished and doing all this other stuff, and she barges in the kitchen and yells at me to wash up because there was no cutlery, so I told her to "wash it yourself you stupid annoying bitch". And then she did. haha.
Then the next week I had a meeting with the boss and he said that they wouldn't be needing me as it wasn't that busy and stuff, and I was like "cmon be honest, I told off that annoying waitress and she complained", and he was like "umm, yeah". |

| i quit my job at a grocery store ($6.40 hr :D) after my boss bitched at me for putting somthing away in the freezer the wrong way. it's not like it took a long time to fix it or anything, probably 30 seconds, but he freaked out , called me an idiot, etc. so, I took off his toupe, ran out in the parking lot, and slamed it on the ground like a touch down. I don't know if I actually got fired or not for that incident, but I never came back to work for those bastards again. ;O |
