TranceAddict Forums Archive > DJing / Production / Promotion > Production Studio Monitor Noise View this Thread in Original format Emperor i have a problem. i have a pair of powered Yorkville monitors in my room and they make noise now...even if i unplug the patch cables....i hear noise....and it sometimes goes away...like its pretty loud...just white noise....sometimes after 10 or 15 minutes it just fades out for a few minutes,...then comes back.....someone said it might be feedback from something but i dont know....seems fishy to me....and both monitors do it...not simultaneously......are they dead or what? anyone know?...oh also...if i power them off and back on it seems to reset it...the noise is gone but it comes back in a minute or so.thanks moth Have you tried a different set of cables? Maybe you require balanced cables? Are they run through an amp? I don't know much about it. But it would probably help to know how you're setup. Emperor they are powered....meaning 'the amps are built in to each monitor'.....seems like the noise is really loud lately...maybe they are dead Emperor no one knows of this problem?
