hi guys i was just wondering, if you cant afford to go out and buy some phatt ass monitors like me and are therefore gonna do all mix and mastering on headphones, which headphones would be the best to choose to give a neutral response so you can get an idea of how track will sound on the main sound systems such as in a club, on a cd, on a radio etc?????
i'm mastering with a pair of sennheiser HD 25 SPs at the moment with the end result that the final master sounds terrible outside of these headphones. its particularly bad on small in the ear earphones.
any advice really appreciated |

From my research, the Etymotic ER-6s have the best Flat response to price ratio.. they go for about $100 USD..
feel free to do your own research at Headroom |

It's frequency response isn't the flatest, but everything sounds great. An easy way to correct yourself, is to spend a couple days just listening to various different types of music and just get used to the headphones, and eventually you'll...
For the quality/price ratio, I can't recommend anything else but these pair of headphones.
BTW, I may sound biased, but i really love these pair of headphones as I use them myself too |
