Three UN workers seized by militants in Kabul

The victims were identified as Annette Flanagan, from Richhill, Co Armagh, who has dual British-Irish citizenship, Angelito Nayan, a junior Filipina diplomat seconded to the UN, and a woman from the Balkans. All three helped train Afghan election officials for the October 9 presidential poll.

its not worse. just terrorists resorting to other tactics which, as we can see, aren't much more successful.
its simple: its a war and one would be ignorant to go to Iraq for whatever reason withough first understanding the risks associated with going there.
i have so much respect for that Italian man who stood up before being killed by the captors, and no respect for those begging their governments to withdraw troops from Iraq to save their lives. and i have respect for governemnt officials for deciding not to withdraw after those pleas. anything else would just allow the terrorists to win that battle.
