hay final call , dont give up on cuebase, its much better for recording or inputing automation, it good fun if you got a midi controler just a knob rack will do, it seems to reply much more accurate than FLstudio <--but its getting there. also you have more sceintific options you will find more handy later on,

instead of using single kick and hats on a channel " why not use a drum sequencer PLUG-IN and import kick's hats snare's ect ect like fruity does, all you need to do is use it as a "D-SEQ" synth and trigger kicks and hats stuff by putting "key's" each key assending note will be a differnt sound " hat kick ect "rather than kick being played in differtn key's,
you need to use drum sequencer on a "MIDI" channel so u will have trigger function available.

iv had a few beers tonight and my heads a littly misty, soi cant be exact in wht to press,,

kvr <-- site has plugins you have to do a search , i cant remmember url lol

hope this is of help

Already quitting? Give it some time. Do you think most people using pro sequencers figured it out after a day or two?

It takes practice and experience to learn using such programs.

I'm amazed how quickly people are expecting instant gratification nowadays :(.

FL, otherwise than being a standalone program, can also serve as a VST plugin on it's own. Use it like a VST inside Cubase.
