these guys are constant top 15 every year in everyone's list.
now you know this list is not really a good list.
even though there may be some disputes with Jules and Tong and what they play, i still consider them good representatives of the dj world. |

| I think it's time everyone grew up about these lists, they're not about technical ability nor are they true or a bible of truths. Go & see everyoen for yourself and make your mind up about them, who gives a if sandra collins or ATB can get in lists like this, if that makes them wet at night so be it, stop taking these lists so seriously and they might actually go away |

but making lists seems to be the staple of the TA

I'm not sure why they do it, we'll probably have a thread asking us to list reasons why we like or dislike lists, it's getting beyond ridiculous |

making lists is a part of nature. i know it sucks, but we always make lists in life, ranking stuff from top to bottom. if you hate these listings, then you probably hate those top lists done by E! television for hottest actors, actresses, movies, and stuff like that .. (why should i have any kind of knowledge in this ?? E! entertainment??)
but it's just like the AFI top 100 movies list. if you think the djmag top 100 list is controversial, look at the AFI list of top movies. that has more controversy than ever.
making lists should have been written in the bible. if we didn't have lists, then how did God and Moses create the 'Ten Commandments'. Without the Ten Commandments, we wouldn't know who Kirk Douglas is. hahahaha |

| its weird how this is the top dj list. but yet acording to all the dj's i know and everyone on this site, its not what acual dj's agree with. i used to respect the top 100 dj list. but now its just a joke. i acually laugh at it. there is no way to acually determin how good a dj is. its opinion, and my opinion is that tiesto shouldnt even be in the top 10. HE CANT EVEN ING MIX! he trainwrecks STILL after how many years DJing? its outragous how he makes it top 3 years in a row it really is. to be honest the only real dj list top 100 is in your own mind. as this is just a popularity contest. and there are more poeple who dont know anything about dance music then there are DJ's. so go figure. |

| At least Baby Anne & Icey are in the top 50 for this one, I don't understand how they can miss the DJ Mag Top 100...and Lisa Lashes is at #62 at this one? Bull! |

Okay....but I really think you must not underestamate ATB....
He produces cheese but I have seen the guy spinning in 2001 and 2003 and he is actually pretty good.
No, he doesn't play the last Markus Schulz, Sasha and Probspot-tracks...but does that make him a bad 'cheese' dj? Johan Gielen's tracklists are worser if you ask me, as well his technical skills!
If flip n fill was on the 11th spot...I think THAN in will be time to go all panic and wonder what is wrong with this world.... |

These western types, especially americans are obsessed with lists and rankings, grades etc. It's a common trend that is more than apparent on this board alone. Just must be the way they are brought up. |
