so i had indoor soccer (for u americans)/futbol(for u europeans) today for the same team ive been playin for, for 4 years. and i dont mean to toot my own horn, but for 4 years i was our best player.i scored the deciding goals, i made the plays when they counted. we finally reached a division last year that we couldnt win so we decided to make cuts and add some new additions to our team. so we got 5 new solid players, with the same skill level as me and even better. so now im no longer the superstar. anyways im on a line as a midfielder with two of the best of the newest guys. sounds like a good idea to have 3 solid players on one line right? nah. its horrible. each of us is trying to be the superstar non of us will pass tho we're the only line that is scoring. anyways todfay i got so fed up with it. i was on the field and the striker finally gave me a beautiful pass. i ran up the field with it and was abt to make a pass when a guy came out of nowhere and fouled me hard. he took meout and ripped open my knee on the artificial turf. ref didnt call it. my team knows me to be vengeful and do stupid when that sort of thing happens so they start yelling at me to get off the field. but nuh uh mother******, im aggrevated from my line and now im wiled up and im getting my revenge. so i run back to defence, ball gets cleared from our zone and gets intercepted by that same guy who fouled me. so i come running at him with the after burners on. and i came running hard. all of a sudden i wasnt even thinking abt doing it but for some reason subconciously i decided to take out his knee while running full blast. now let me tell u what i did, i would have put this guy in the hospital and he prolly wouldnt have never walked normally for the rest of his whole life. thnk god i realized what i did, and pulled away last second so i missed his knee. now i missed his knee but it looked so aparent that i was trying to take his knee out it wasnt funy. the ref blew the whistle and came to my face and was ready to kick me out of the game. the guy came into my face and tried to punch me. and i had to walk away with my tail in between my legs cause i was totally 100% in the wrong.
i feel like a in goon right now. why u do the things u do sometimes who knows. at least i pulled away tho. i could have really hurt the guy badly. thnk god i didnt. poor guy was a split second away from never walking again
you know the funny thing is everyone who was there was like it didnt look that bad. but the thing is they werent me, and they didnt know what i was planning on doing. i was planning to put a guy out of commission for his life just because the ref didnt call a foul.
i have retired from being a good player and turned myself into an idiot goon |

Yeah, it's when we do that stupidest that we can finally realize the error in our ways - too bad we can't foresee how something will turn out all the time, might save us all from a lot of embaressment :o
Just learn from the experience and you won't be in the wrong. Think about how much worse you might feel right now if you had taken his leg out. Notwithstanding your decision to lose your temper in the first place, I think things turned out pretty well if all you have to suffer is a little embaressment. Your pride will recover from this, his leg wouldn't have been so easy. ;) |

| Hey winning is everything. sometimes you just have to kick a little ass ( or knees) to do it. I broke my arm to win $1 bet. but it was worth it. It was the prinipal of the matter. |

I'm the same, when I played hockey I was a maniac, had a real short temper.
I preferred a good solid hip and shoulder though, really decent body crunch. No permanent damage to anyone, but they feel it! And you can disguise it sorta..........
Hip-and-shoulder = way to go. Nothing like setting the player on his back wondering what the hell happened. |

Indoor Soccer is the most violent game going around.
Just because you don't wear spikes people think you can cripple others.
Its okay to get red hot on the pitch. I'm a real sledger, I insult their appearance, background, family, I especially love paying out on the their wife or girlfriend if they come to a game, and I'm an expert at breaking ankles and noses during a game without being caught.
You didn't get sent off so you did fine. |

I should move to TO and join your team. I am a pretty decent player and I put alot more stock into assits than goals. Also play the midfield position.
Hard to say this, but dont lose your cool when youre on the field. If youre the better player, you can always beat them there. Fouls happen, and refs dont call it. The trick is to just not let things bother you.
This never ing works for me though. Just remember, doing like that can not only get you thrown out of the game, but criminal charges could also be pressed if they think you really intended to injure. You dont want to pull a tribu and be facing jail time for some stupid like that... |

I never sledged much, I usually kept my mouth shut and let actions do the talking.....
The one time I did sledge though, (and I'm straight, I should say that right now, I definitely like chicks) I was matched up on a guy that had the heavily gelled hair, I just said while I was appplying body-on-body pressure (coach's orders, I usually play a metre off to try to suck them into passing to my player), "Mate, I like your hair". Cue a look of horror on the guys face, he wouldn't let me get near him, every time he got the ball and I was bearing down on him he panicked and and gave the ball up easy.:stongue: |

:haha: :haha:
Well, once you put someone off mentally, they are your bitch for the whole game I've found.
Although I've copped a few injuries are pay back for some of my comments.... |
