first, does anyone know of any two-tone pictures of Tiesto? I think there used to one on www.tiestoworld.nl but there isnt anymore since they redesigned their site
if not, how can i create my own? essentially all i want is a picture that is composed of 2 colours (black & white?) or 2 shades of a colour... but you can still recognise the person in the picture from the outlines etc
for example, something kinda like this:

it'd be quite helpful to know how to do it just because i've wanted to do it with other things in the past, and probably will want to later as well.
any help appreciated :) |

if youre using photoshop (the following were done with 7.0) you could do the following with any photograph:
Image > Adjustments > Desaturate
that'll give you black and white
then:
Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation > Colorize > move the Hue lever to adjust the colour you would like
here's pic examples of the steps above:
ORIGINAL:

Black and white:

Colorized:

hmm... kinda like that... but there are like two clear, distinct tones which make out blocks of dark areas and light areas - maybe something to do with the contrast?
hard to explain, but its almost like a line drawing with shadowing
thanks for your help so far |

go into photoshop and play around
play the same way with:
image > adjustments > contrast/brightness
or... filters > blur > gaussian blur or smart blur
all these will give you different types of effects after you make your photo two toned |

btw, the tiesto photo above is just blurry from the beginning.... it was taken in a low light and probably without a flash
other than that, i dont think i understand what youre looking for :) but i tried |
