I prefered his Rama series (the first is a stand out), and Childhood's end.

King's (under the Bachman alias) The Long Walk will always be a favourite.

yes Rendezvous with Rama was a good book. Some interesting little clean up robots do some nice clean up work. & I love the stair case walk - very entertaining reading not. & how about the kite flying guy! what a tosser! LOL

Rama does sound like a good concept, but the storey was lame. 3001 has a better story to go with the concepts.

Currently reading: TrancEaddict forums :disbelief

I suppose I picked up The Grapes of Wrath a few days ago...what I'm really getting into is Inside Kung-Fu's Ultimate Guide to TaeKwonDo. lol

It's just a compilation of great articles from Inside Kung Fu written by Martial artists. One of the major authors, Karen Eden, is actually the Weekend Weather-woman in Denver, CO. I noticed her on TV the last time I was in Denver, and went :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

;)

Enders series is amazing, probably my favorite set of books ever.

Don't have time to read right now, but if you're into fantasy, pick up anything from David Gemmell. He's incredible.

I've read the series. And about the person asking about the movie, goto imdb.com and search for it there.

Awesome book.

Currently I'm reading East of Eden by Steinbeck. It's awesome. I finished reading Sophie's World about a week ago...both of these were for a class. People, if you want to read the lamest book ever written, read Sophie's World. It's a book about philosophy that has a writing style appealing to a 12-year old and fails miserably at attempting to interweave the history of philosophy with an actual story. And incidentally, the story itself makes no logical sense for the first half of the book, even though it's a book about logic. After the first half, he drops a lame-ass deus ex machina, and then goes on with the nonsense. Absolutely horrible.
